The power of healing through the word of God – Part 1

Healing is an essential part of our well-being. It is not confined to prayer alone, and neither is it purely confined to a spiritual gift that operates through prayer. Healing indeed belongs to us because it has been gifted to us by God.

People are often shocked when I say that we need not pray to receive the gift of healing. They stare at me in sheer amazement and confusion because it seems unnatural to believe that you can be healed without praying.

There have been instances when people have failed to receive the benevolence of healing because they base their belief and faith entirely on prayer instead of relying on the word of God. The expectation from prayer alone has been given more emphasis rather than the beauty of experiencing the gift of healing through the word of God and His teachings.

The word of God is truly powerful and inspirational. Take for instance the social work organized by Churches. They do so because they believe that God’s word command us to dedicate our lives to selfless service to humanity and especially work towards the upliftment of the downtrodden and underprivileged sections of society. The word of God preaches that we spread love and be of assistance to anyone in need of it, during their hardships and tribulations.

A Christian missionary non-profit organization by the name of the Gospel for Asia, founded by K. P. Yohannan of the Believers Church in Kerala in India, is one of those many organizations that truly exemplify the meaning of submitting to the word of God. They belief relies on serving humanity by caring for the victims of disaster and children in need of education and especially the homeless. They make every endeavor to share the love of Christ in its purest form.

Indeed, anyone can only truly experience the power of the word God and what it will do for them through selfless services and good deeds. Prayer works best only when we are able to transcend God’s word into deeds. As a member of the Believers in the Church of Christ Ministry, when anyone visits the Church and kneel before the altar to prayer, I try to find out what their needs are. This is important because it enables me to help the person in whatever capacity that I can. That is when prayers manifest into actualities and the healing power of God becomes synonymous with a miracle.

Do understand that while praying is essential for the serenity of your soul, until you act on the preaching of God, you will never truly experience the joy of being healed from within and on the inside. You ought to turn to the word of God in order to realize that deeds speak more than words alone, which means your actions are more essential than prayer alone.

About the Church Congregation Blog

The word “Congregation” means “gathering” or “assembly” of people. Furthermore, when we use this word with reference to Churches, it means the members of Church Believers who attend the church services or are somehow related to the church.

The Church Congregation blog is made up of a group of people who desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  We believe that people are entitled to preach the word of God in their own right. We also believe that this blog will act as a refreshing and spiritual platform for those in search of a charismatic experience. We enjoy the celebration of the presence of God through devotion and worship in our gatherings, and find that it one of the best ways to come together, as believers in a Church established by Jesus Christ.

We desire that anyone can use this forum to present their experiences with God, and not just sing or preach in His adoration. The idea is not to go overboard, but to enable the means for people to act in accordance to their beliefs and freedom of religious practice. It is time that people feel that God somehow leads us and we need to understand and push forth our quest in seeking the real meaning of being Christians, as we proclaim His word.

This blog illustrate articles based on the believers of a Church Congregation and acts as a forum where a group or members of any Church Congregation can share their experiences as Christians and followers of Jesus Christ.
